Our location may serve as a convenient base for cycling enthusiasts. The cycle trail running nearby is the part of a coastal section of the international Eurovelo 10 path and it’s called The Trail of Rolled Tracks (Szlak Zwinietych Torow). It is a beautiful route stretching across the landscape protected area along the embankments of dismantled, former German railway tracks. The trail is about 20km long, laid on nature, unpaved paths but despite its distance is quite easy and suitable also for children.
It has its origin in Ustka and ends in Rowy, winds through lush forests, near the water’s edge reeds, quiet meadows, Gardno lake and landscapes belonging to the Słowiński National Park. Along the way there’s a picturesque and virgin Orzechowo village with access to cliffs and scenic beach. In the woodland area near Orzechowo, the nature reserve Dune of Orzechowo (Wydma Orzechowska) has been established. Its main function is to preserve unique sand dunes full of diverse vegetation and fauna. It is a real rarity of seaside landscape, 600 metres away from the coast of Baltic. From the top of the biggest dune (50 metres above sea level) there is a panoramic view, including a nearby city of Ustka.
